Northwest Rescue Collective is a Washington-based nonprofit dedicated to helping dogs and the people who love them. We believe that keeping pets with their families whenever possible is one of the most effective ways to reduce pet homelessness, shelter overcrowding, and unnecessary suffering. Through community outreach programs, we collect and distribute dog food, pet supplies, and essential resources to families experiencing financial hardship. During the winter months, we organize coat drives for both people and pets, provide insulated dog houses and igloos, and help ensure that homeless and reservation dogs have safe, warm shelter during harsh weather conditions. We are committed to reducing pet overpopulation by helping Washington families access affordable spay and neuter services. When pet owners cannot afford the full cost of surgery, we work to bridge the gap by providing financial assistance whenever possible. Northwest Rescue Collective also serves as an adoption and networking platform for smaller, independent rescuers across Washington State. We support the dedicated individuals who spend countless hours trapping, rescuing, fostering, and caring for homeless, abandoned, and stray dogs. By providing marketing, adoption support, and community connections, we help these dogs find loving, permanent homes while allowing rescuers to focus on saving more lives. At Salmon Days, Northwest Rescue Collective will provide information on low-cost spay/neuter resources, pet food assistance programs, adoption opportunities, microchipping and identification resources, and volunteer/giving opportunities that are available to Issaquah-area residents. We have helped many unhoused residents of Issaquah spay, neuter and microchip their dogs and have provided dog for them as well on an as needed basis.
